Would it be possible for MXCL to show the offending material name when a missing texture is listed for a failed render? Right now it lists the only the defective file path, but since there is no common naming convention for most textures, it is often difficult to determine which material needs attention.
This would be better:
ERROR: Concrete.mxm: File "C:/Program Files/Next Limit/Maxwell/materials database/Wood/AFM1 R90CW FV.jpg" has not been found. Render cannot continue.
[/i]
Now I know it is the COnrete MXM that needs to be addressed.
Furthermore, is it possible for thwe application to review ALL materials for missing maps and report a summary of errant materials rather than stopping after the first time it finds a problem? This will more efficently allow the user to correct the errors. For that matter, it would be great if the listed mxm(s) could be clicked and the MXED could appear with the offending material ready to edit
