The white roses are wonderful, but the yellow base is somehow strange...

I have scanned a real petal and the low
end of this white rose was yellow!

Are the italian roses different from french roses?

Mmmmmh, you're right... I did never noticed it...

Maybe you need more translucidity... to clear the center dark part... and to remove the yellow from bouncing back onto the petal... and maybe forcing the exposure a bit... dunno... just ideas... also maybe try to "curl" the end petals a little... not so straight.... (the large outside ones)

Hi All and a
lot of thanks to Tom, Daros and Maximus3D for the comments.

After a short holyday i left computer rendering the rose's image.

Now this last and final version include:

- Sample level 22
- 100 hours of rendering in background task
- Some post processing enhancements
(brightness, contrast and neat image).

I left previous untouched image to be compared.

thank you,
the image is in rendering in 1600x1200...

Now in Italy it is the warnest period of the year
(above 40°) and i hope my PC does'n go nuked.
