I'm appalled, who ever did that?

but that doesn't really fit into the pc monitor category, or does it?

My first apartment in college, .... I was just naive, ...we left the door unlocked and someone just strolled in and helped themselves.

As for falling into the class of pc monitor, ... at the time and I'm sure you know, ...most computers used TV's as the monitor. It was one of those early machines. It pretty much looked just like this setup ...... http://www.blakespot.com/images/ti99.jpg

Why I mentioned it, .. I don't know .. :)

Thank you for the comments, friends.

In my country, there are too many monitor company.

So it's very difficult to choice a good one.

I knew the EIZO and LaCie is very nice but It's too expensivie in my country. :?

It mostly over 1000dollors.

Just one model (s2031w) is about 694 dollors.

And LaCie is not launched yet.

So I'm consider a bit cheaper model (like Dell and others) and calibration tool.

Ok. I have to more research.

Thank you very useful answer, friends.

Three months ago I got my new HP LP3065 Flat Panel Monitors.
The image quality is amazing! For 3D and Film compositing
work, 5120x1600 resolution is almost must to have. :D

I have the dell 30" model - 2560x1600 with a 19" portrait mode lcd beside it. Works great for me - but I don't need to worry too much about high gamut etc :) .

Dell has an HC version of both the 27" and 30" models with they claim a 92% gamut - but ever review says it's impossible to tell the difference between them...

Eizo FlexScan S2410W 8)

Very good calibration from the factory and enough screen area for most apps.

If you don't wanna fork over the money for an eizo or lacie monitor, a Dell
http://configure.us.dell.com/dellstore/ ... TopSellers is a great value in terms of price and quality. I recommended this to my former employer, and it was one of the few LCD monitors i've seen where the colors don't vary with increasing viewing angles.

Even looking perpedicular to dead center, the change in viewing angle from your eyes to the edges of the screen is significant enough to be annoying on some lcds. This can make color correction impossible.

I once returned a samsung syncmaster 204b for this reason, and I don't recommend the dell m90 laptops.

they bought 22.2" Eizo ColorEdge CG221 to my work and i haven`t really seen better colours. It covers entire Adobe RGB colour space. It is really something different, you must see it. But it cost about 4000$ here.
I have old 21-inch IBM P-260 CRT monitor at home and it is still better than some LCDs (and you can use 3d glasses with CRT). It is about 150$ now (used one).
