Lolec, I have enable the sky dome environment with a grey color (could be brownish also). The object is set to grey diffuse. During the rendering I have adjust gamma, burn and shutter. In photoshop I have sharpen it a little bit more and add a little bit low frequency noise.

But I would love to see it integrated in the Maxwell material editor, in a scientifically correct way, that's all.

Nope. :) I hoped that NL would involve me in the core beta program after contributing to the Maxwell manual, but no luck for me. :( :)

Anyway, this way it's a real surprise what we'll encounter this month. :)

Hmm but yeah I can't wait to have it, but don't have the time coming weeks for experimenting with it, so maybe they must release it next month!? :wink:

mental ray has a dirt shader , and an ambient occlusion one for ages now....it`s not even a plugin,,,,it`s in the basic shader library shipped with max , maya......vray-``dirt` is new ...and what a surprise ,,,,,maxwell the unbiased renderer want`s a dirty aproach....to reality....
