it's not a bug, rather a memory limitation. have you tried the -hd option?

I'm having the same problem here.
I have 4GB installed. And as far as I know, a single programm can consum up to 2GB!
Rendering 2400x1800 seems to use about 650MB

So 3200x2400 should work in cases of memory usage.
But does not.

I have the best results with the -hd option without the display -d option.

Both options on the same renderjob crashes my pc...
