I've asked for this one already... and the response is catagorically maybe no, could be, aaaaa... not right now...
but theoretically we should see something akin to that in the stand-alone..
in the short term it might be nice to feed lightwave some real basic information... to see a really 'guessed' example of the texture... so while we browse through we can see what KIND of material... glass... glass... matt... metal... etc.. I can't imagine that being a chore. Or at the very least don't bury that info in the plugin, so we can SEE what material at a glance without opening each and every plugin to find the one we are looking for. ie. change the name of the plugin per texture "maxwell texture (matt:.2:.2:#334455) " so at a glance we can see our basic parameters, like material type: UV: Colour... just a thought.
What I do is, when I add a maxwelltexture I simulate the look of that texture in lightwave. Then I save it as a surface. This way I can 'add' glass to 10 textures at once. Or a matte surface or whatever.
cheers.
If we had just one lowly SuperStarDestroyer, all of earth's problems would rapidly become rather trite. I mean, who worries about war in the middle east when a 1.5km death triangle is in orbit.
