In sketchup there is the Maxwell scatter function. Is there something like it in the Maxwell plugin in C4D

I think it is not in the C4D plugin. At least I can not see it in the code.

But I don't know what is the history behind it (why it was not implemented) - I have to check around.

The reason of the missing implementation is probably because the C4D particle system is much more robust than Maxwell scatter, so we recommend to use that instead.
