Would installing Extension 1 for Autodesk Maya 2015 impact my Maxwell Maya plugin compatibility in any adverse way?

Previous extension versions (such as 2013.5) broke API compatibility, so plug-ins had to be recompiled in order to work in them. This time however, it looks like Extension 1 is more like a service pack, so existing plug-ins should work. I haven't installed it here yet, so I can't be sure, but the release notes seem to indicate that you can upgrade and keep using the current Maxwell plug-in.
