Hello all!

I've been testing Maxwell Render 3.0 on a ultraportable laptop (DELL XPS 13") for a few days, and now I was going to install it on my workstation. They are using the same ubuntu kernel, 14.04, but when I try to launch Maxwell Studio, Maxwell Render or Maxwell Material Editor on my workstation I get the message: Illegal instruction (core dumped)

Anyone has an idea what the issue can be?

Best Regards Patrik

We did some more testing and searching and found out that this probably have to do with an old architecture of the CPU, so will try it on a newer machine!

I have the same issue under Slackware64 14.1 on a laptop with a Core 2 Duo CPU. I've downloaded the Linux tarball, set the environment variables, but when I try to launch maxwell or activate a license using licenseactivator. I get an Illegal instruction message. I get no crash logs in $HOME/Maxwell/logs.
