Why am I having difficulty getting this to work? I swear I have done it before, but maybe that was in the studio?

We can use render region via the plugin right?

Yes, you can use the modo render region settings.

But it seems if "Right" or "Bottom" values are set to 100%, Maxwell switches off the render region. The plugin passes the values correctly so it is a Maxwell issue.

I can confirm you are correct. I also read, in the maya forum I think, you can just start it full screen, as soon as you see what it is, stop it, then switch to region and resume.
