hello,

i am trying to make LDPE foam material, but i'm afraid that white dots will not disappear.
Here is what i tried:
- created a normal map from scan of the foam sheet.
- used SSS polyurethane preset (with desaturated the colors).
- tried controlling the shininess with single BSDF (not good enough), then with a gloss layer with forced fresnel on.

Two layer approach seems to work, with gloss layer in additive mode.

Could use some help to improve this:
- How to avoid the white dots?
- any tips to improve the material appearance and reduce render time?

Following is a photo of the material and a test render at SL 19.7:

@Seghier: nope i did not try opacity mask, it works well to get the effect.
@Tom: i see,... done, and no more white dots,...and it clears faster.

latest test - Single BSDF, roughness 5, opacity mask from specular texture, and global bump using normal map:
