Position Pass in Renderer Viewer crashes when mouse-over#348958

When rendering a position pass from studio, maxwell render crashes when I hover over the grey p icon to reveal this position pass.

Doesn't happen here, could you try and narrow it down a bit? What render rez, ML on/off, operating system...
Does it happen with any scene where you turn on the Position channel? What bit depth are you setting it to?

hm, I remember having crashes on two different machines, now when I try to recreate the crash, its not crashing anymore

c'mon, Mihai, what did you do ? silent-fix ?

EDIT: when I set the output format to Tiff 32, or exr, hdr etc.. it crashes when mouse over... as there isn't any documentation yet, what is the reasonable output for that channel ?
