Thanks Tom :) i see you enjoy macros, so do i. There is so much to see in them, details you normally never really see with your eyes.
As a materialnerd it's exciting, a good source of inspiration when creating new materials to get that extra level of detail i had to guess before.

Here's one i shot earlier today with the macro, it's for a monthly challenge we have here in town between a happy group of amateur photonerds.
We pick a random subject each month and then we have 30 days to come up with some results,
this months challenge was studiolighting/productphotography so i'm experimenting with a simple homemade studiosetup. :)
This is a Blossa Glögg bottle, or the upper half of it. It's a sort of special Christmas wine we drink here, very tasty stuff hehe.

Maximus3D wrote:It's not that cold here Hervé, i'm sure you had more snow down where you live this winter :) this far down south in Sweden there's only about -10C to -17C during winters when it's cold.
That temperature is nothing, where i'm from we're used to the thermometer to drop down all the way to -25C and -35C during a normal winter, sometimes even down below -40C. :)
Your friends must be working at Volvo or some place big like that..

Here's a couple of experimental shots from tonight in my kitchen with the most primitive setup ever, the kitchensink and ovenplates + flash, tripod and camera with macrolens.

I guess i have to post again since none of you guys have posted anything. Sorry!

Let's make this a smokin' series of post because i spent last night shooting a new batch of candlesmoke shots here at home with a modified and hopefully improved setup for better results.
I will start out easy with just two shots and then post more soon..
This is still a highly experimental series, i got some stuff i wanna refine and tune in the setup but i'll do that later sometimes. :)
