Thank you Maximus3D - I used a Canon 500D with the kit lens (55-80) that comes with it. (just have it since 2 weeks and still getting used to it).

I like you airshow photos - and the bodyguard is a great photo!

macray: You're welcome the 500D is still a good performer and by the looks of it you can squeeze out some nice shots with that kitlens already. Oh i see you only had it for two weeks, great congrats to the purchase. Keep posting photos here and we will try to give you feedback if you want.

really nice photos you squeeze out of it but as long as I'm not a professional photographer (or some giving it to me for a VERY good price; equal to the 500D) I'll never purchase such equipment. Do you use it for your everyday job?

macray: Hehe, my piggybank has been suffering badly since the purchase but it was money well spent. It all depends on your needs and requirements what gear you use and how much you are willing to spend on it. Sure i looked at smaller cameras and cheaper glass but then i decided to save money for a longer time and then spend it on bigger gear and better glass because they offered more of what my needs would be. Nope i don't use this stuff for my daily job, but i'm working on building up a portfolio now so i can freelance atleast parttime as a photographer when 3D related jobs are hard to find. At the moment i can shoot everything from concerts to sports and portraits to pets, kids and landscapes + standard news type photography but i wanna expand my skills beyond that and with time and hard work it will be done. And ofcourse i want to combine the best of both worlds, both 3D and photography/filming to merge it into one perfected type of work.

Hehe yep, the J-29 "Tunnan" or the barrel as a direct translation of it would be is a fine plane old and very loud, you should see and hear the videos i filmed of it hehe.
