ludenhud: I see.. hm, that's quite a bit of stuff to carry around and setup for a shot outdoors.
The output results are very nice and clean, i have to admit that. Btw, thanks! the snapshots are the most fun one's to grab.

Today on Saturday it was the annual Scott Kelby Photowalk and there were a group of 11 people with their cameras going downtown in Gothenburg and walking around, snapping pics today.
Ofcourse i had to join in and take a couple of pics, it was a great fun event with a visit to a restaurant afterwards.

Here's one pic i shot through a pretty reflective glasswindow, it's a doll used by a wig manufacturer.
These dolls were standing in the window wearing the various wigs they produce there,
the natural lighting was soft and good so i grabbed this one which came out quite successfull.

Thanks Fernando yes i noticed that too when came home and checked my photos. The lighting was just so perfect, the store was dark, the enviroment was quite diffuse with only a bit of late evening sunlight scattered through a raincloud covered sky. All this contributed to the lighting you see in my photo. I also liked the way it turned out.

Those are real nice shots of poor people rusteberg, good work! did you have to give them some money to take pics of them ?

A few new pics from today, i have not had time to photograph anything in the past 2-2½ weeks due to the massive workload i got to do now.
However i went out today anyways and i also got accredited pressphoto access today to this event http://www.2010finamasters.org/ which i'm gonna try to cover as much as possible.

funny you ask max. the shot of Cosmo cost me $2. no one else from the last page requested any money though...

from what i have found, most people in that situation, for the most part, just want to be heard, or at least treated with some form of respect. i always shake their hand, introduce myself and talk to them for a few minutes before asking to take their picture (unless they are asleep)... 7 times out of 10, they are delighted... if you read this, then look at Cosmo again, you might notice an expression in his eyes that says "hurry up, i need $2 for a beer".....

there have been quite a few that refuse to let me take their picture. even if i offer them a few dollars or more...

Only two dollars, that's cheap! i would have expected them to ask for more money, all of them.
That might be true they want a listener, although they have a desperate need for money for basic survival and ofcourse beer.
Good job rusteberg, such subjects can be difficult to shoot. I doubt i would do it unless i had a 400mm lens and shot them from a distance to avoid getting robbed of my gear.

I went back to the swimming competitions today to shoot some more pics. Here's a few of what i got..

i know what you mean about the intimidation of potentially "loosing" your gear.
those shots were taken with these two medium format cameras.....
they're a little less appealing to your average gangster on the street
