Maybe you could use one layer of real glass reducing its opacity...

The buddha is ca. 9 x 9 x 22 cm, and yes, I have changed the transmittance-color into a lighter blue.Btw, what's the size of your object? SSS is highly sensitive to wrong scene and object dimensions. It's also very fragile about colors and not so comfortable with arbitrarily altering them. I say this because it seems like you've manipulated the jade material a bit.
I'm happy to be helpful because I know how frustrating when it doesn't want to converge.RK_art wrote:Yes Tom, now and slowly this is getting to be more fun than frustration. Thanks to your tips.
AGS is short for Architectural Glass Solution. It's a kind of material setup we've suggested in the past and it's still very useful and needed for exteriors. Its philosophy is simple and yet in 2.0 it's easier than ever. Basically, it's a mirror material with low opacity so, it simulates the reflections of a glass but not producing refraction and caustics. Therefore, it clears up much faster in windows of buildings. Check material wizards and make one for yourself.RK_art wrote:Btw., what is AGS ?
Interiors had a big improvement so I exclude.gadzooks wrote:Tom don't you mean interiors?
No. They are 100% pure output of Maxwell.RK_art wrote:Tom, did you do postwork on your examples ?
