Ok, I tweaked the glass material per Tom's suggestions, the black plastic material on top of the paperclip dispenser making it less specular and added scratches, the green headphone jack material I added bump to, and the black rings on the headphone jack I made less specular. Also added a warm photo filter in PS.

Well .... it creates a nice close-up feel and that's definitely useful for certain purposes. But, ... it doesn't help to convey the 'realness' of a photo. So ..........

130mm could work fine, but I'm sure it'll look much less "flat" if the f-stop was very low for a little DOF

Yes i agree.
It looks like it arrives more light from the left side of your scene, which is good because it articulates and opens the space around your objects.
