Impressive numbers but what's the cost of such a monster rig ? it can't come cheap.. aren't you guys gambling a bit much when you buy the first generation of new cpu's ? i wouldn't do that, they're often flakey.

Not that much if you compare it with a HP workstation with maxxed specs, or a Mac Pro with maxxed specs.

well you can have (not as much...) speed with less expensive PC. My 64bit vista PC with 8Gb Ram, Intel Core2Quad Q9550 overclocked to 4 Ghz gave me 12:29 and 847.80 which is very fast, all you see around it are 8 cores in the table... and it costs about a third of that price.
