The polycount is not a problem. So far i have around 1.4 million polys, and should be able to squeeze out at least 6-7 million.
Although i´ll probably not go that far.
I´ll only need to model one half of the building and drop it into a symmetry object. Saves a few polys there.
Object count is however another matter. I´ve previously made some fairly massive scenes and noticed that a high amount of objects is not a good thing. Once you start connecting them, Cinema works a lot better again.

I would recommend that if the polycount starts to break Cineama - start using the xref feature in Cinema 4D.
And for Maxwell, you may think to export certain groups of things out of Cinema and to MXS, then reassemble in Maxwell Studio for the final rendering.
