First the bottle/plant render is just beautiful!
WOW the only way i could tell it was cg was that the long leaves all look like they are mapped with the same plant map that gets dry on the tip, so my only suggestion would be to vary the texture up so that all the leaf tips arnt dry lookin.

2nd in maya there are quite a few ways to approach the water drops.
www.highend3d.com has great scripts for this..
Letme suggest these..

Mel script - scScatter, scatters 3D objects and duplicates them with randomness on youe selected surface.. Just use a slightly deformed sphere with a med rez poly count as your source geometry. Use this deformed sphere as a dropthat will be scatter on the leaves..
Heres a link,, credit goes to Dan Johansson for the script.

http://www.highend3d.com/files/dl.3d?gr ... le_id=3387

that is a great util. since you can change the distribution noise pattern and change size and it will duplicate your geo instead of instance..
I would recomend trying this scScatter mel 1st.

(search under maya mel scripts: scScatter v1.3 if link sends you to gen highend3d page.)

Next there is a plugin way of doing just about that, but you gotta install the mll plugin file to your maya 6.5

A PLUGIN on Highend3D from Stefano Tabacco , http://stabacco.deathfall.com/attach%20 ... bjects.htm

http://www.highend3d.com/files/dl.3d?gr ... le_id=3546

HERE is a Dynamic solution for maya 6.0 (i think will work in 6.5 too)
Its CALLED WATERDROPS.. very cool plug by Peter Shipkov (http://petershipkov.com/)-checkout the development page.

This Guy ROCKS DYNAMICS.. DEFINATLY check his PAGE out!
HIs Muscles and Esspecially the Afterburn collection he put out is JUST JAW DROPPING,, Thanks peter shipkov for those AWSOME scripts.

This is a dynamics solution, and only works on NURBS surfaces,, So create a "proxy" nurbs Surface that folows your POLYGON mesh.. you can extract the poly EDGES into a curve using ALIAS bonus tools for Maya mel collection, and then LOFT your curves from edges into NURBS geo that you can Template or hide. Run the waterdrops script on the proxy nurbs surface. The Awsome thing about this Solution is that its DYNAMICs and will be able to be animated, so you can apply gravity to the drops and they will run down your surface. fter you get a good result, Just Bake out your animated drops to keyframes and then you can delete the proxy nurbssurface too set your scene to maxwell.

(Search WaterDrops v2.5 under maya plugins highend3d)

AGAIN I dont want to take credit for these, all provided by the great people that Run HIGHEND3D.com, and the amazing people that acctuall Write these scripts/plugs

Im just Pointing you to a good resources ,, congrats DIA on your wonderful render, keep up MAXWELLing!

-Luke-

DIA that looks great... but i would change the plants a bit. The leafs look a bit old on the ends and for this type of presentation you want to use fresh new plants :) ::

Very nice work !
I really like the B&W version. 8)
The other one is nice as well, but possibly a bit too soft for my taste.

Hi ! and thx for your comments ! :)

Well i used the uv editor to make a proper uv layout for the plants and then i import the uv layout to PS and started to paint.
After that i asigned a lambert material so i could see the textures in my viewport just to make shure they was looking good :)

And also when you are using mayas painteffects and convert them to a mesh the uv layout is still there.so just apply a nice texture :)

Hope it helped you ! :)

Well you can not use mayas shaders in maxwell u have to replace them later for maxwell shaders.

1. I give my objects a lambert and make an uv layout (if you have to) .

2. When iam done with all my textures and uv:s i replace the lambert shaders for my new´maxwell shaders
