Great, then switch to Fry Render. I am sure that NL knows what the competition has, and i see no point in bringing it up on this forum as a comparison. We are obviously, most of us, here because we believe in ~ and the point is to let NL know some things as JTB mentioned, but i think your negativity and comparison will not solve my problems. I am starting to believe that i would also develop a Prima-Donna attitude after hearing some of the comments.

I still think that Maxwell is much better which would be the reason i am here. The day that Fry proofs to me that they can give me an edge, i will switch, business is business and loyalty only last so long.

hmm, i work in both, and i find both very nice. me personally find multilight a bit more convinient, specially with the new memory managemt we will be able to render multilight in big sizes.

once again i dont understand this bashing. also both of these engines have pros and cons. i own, use and love both!

one BIG pro for maxwell is the new memory management to render huge sizes, and the netrender.

cheers

Ok Visual Impact, I looked over some of the features of Fry, and even tho i got a bit alterado because i just want to get this crap over with and just concentrate on working with a reliable software. I do have to say that some of the features they have are very promising, and like most i am a bit jealous to a tenacious point. :D

I think is this topic that gets me on a bad mood :(

Don't let uncertainty suck up your energy - make a bold choice. You'll be better off, even if you make the wrong choice.

For me Fryrender still lacks that extra bit of image quality. In my eyes Vray & Co. (Modo 301 will also be nice) can match it, and that makes the unbiased way uninteresting for me. I didn't do it for having few parameters, but mainly for Maxwell's quality and progressive render nature.

Insomnia3d, Maxwell release time is always frustrating for us all, I don't know why, they just seem a bit lost when it comes to how to go about this.

The renderings done by Fry are just way too sharp... that's all. The quality is actually very similar and they have some funky photo calibrated modes.

Look at Kerkythea, Indigo, Radium, Redqueen and other renderers capable of path-tracing. The quality is high and very sufficient in all these renderers. Workflow and features is a different story.

They are on a loser really.

They release something, 10 minutes later people are banging on about the next release and when it will be and what should be in it.

If they stay quiet, the questions will still relentlessly come, if they do mention a next release the questions will relentlessly come.

Let's face it we are all after the perfect product on both sides, and we ALL want it now. We are like kids on Christmas Eve 365 days a year.

It gets tiring hearing the same thing over and over, I too join in occasionally, I am not innocent here... I've never known a community like this one. Don't get me wrong, never have I met such a passionate group of individuals, we all LOVE the software, which is why we feel so disappointed if it doesn't live up to our expectations.

i only see complaining the same 20 people here. all the other hundrets or thousands of mw user are at least not complaining....

i think there are many happy too. me at least.

the nice thing is we have all options, there are many renderengines out there. i personally dont find one enough to have. i use 3 or 4 depending on type of work...

.yes....i am quite happy with the new features and i can use maxwell for production as i do mostly archviz.
.only thing is, that we have here for now 9 (!) pages of questions, reactions and complaints about new features, whole maxwell or about release dates, but NONE answer or reaction of NL.
.that makes me sad and quite unhappy.

I don;t remember anything about mdp, but we instancing at some point in time that would crash studio, but then they just took it off.
