hello :) I'm new here, I do not have photos to show yet but I really want to say a big big big HELLO to EONA , because, before I went to Brittany, I was living, (and I grew up) in Antibes a long time ago; (lycee, fenelon Grasse, Stanislas/ Cannes and Audiberti at Antibes)

More than this, my first job was at AMC (Antibes marine chantier) with mr Tehard, (because I was very near of Bruno Troublé) if I remember his brother was also a naval architect
On the previous photo, you can nearly see a house where I used to live for a couple of years .. long long time ago (rue du bateau)

So
Olla !! hyeaahh

hdesbois: Lotsa grass to cut there..

Edwin: That looks like some sorta old castle on the hill, is it ?

I shot these quick experimental pics in my kitchen tonight as i were bored outta my mind with nothing to do :( they're just tests.

Max I love your stick shots 8) , What is your setup, lighting, camera setting, do you use a tripod( I have got to get me one) and do you do any post processing?
That's part of the old town of Antibes. That's the sea water reflecting the lights and the dark band between the water and the buildings are the Ramparts(walls) of the town they are lit up middle right.

Once again, Max your pic's gives me inspiration. :P

Too easy for me
I had 4 addresses in Antibes in 15 years , "Chateau de l'espée", "rue du bateau"( inside your photo) and ave. marechal Leclerc (near of where you took the photo from, and "Avenue des chenes, villa les celtes" ..between Juan and Antibes)

It was a trick
Sorry :)
I won't bother you anymore :P

Great photo of that old wagon Edwin  i like it!

Some info about how i shoot.. no magic really.

I have a small macrotripod i use for closeups, then i elevate my subject on a small platform i build from various household and kitchen items such as pots, pans and similar things :) i place them on my kitchen table, stick a bunch of white copypapers in the background most of the time, i utilize sunlight or reflected sunlight through the kitchenwindow and sometimes i use the lamp above the stove as a secondary fill light. What more.. yes as most shots if not all are macro's they save me much trouble as i can dof both foreground/floor and enviroment as i shoot them.

All photos are also shot in RAW format, i prefer that as i can do some post operations as i import them and start working with them in the paintprogram. What's done in post is often coloradjustments, contrast and brightness adjustments, minimal sharpness added (approx 5%) but most is gained when reducing the scale by 100% to make them postable on the web. And ofcourse i crop my photos quite a bit to get rid of unwanted details or parts of the photo. That's necessary.

EXIF data for the photos in order of their posting.
