This conversation has been going on since the first time that Next Limit introduced the Studio. I am in the camp of those who purchased M~R because we were promissed a render engine we could use with our existing software, in my case Cinema 4D. As such, I am waiting along with many others for the plug-ins to catch up.
I rarely use the studio but I see the need for it. Certainly the people here claiming to like it better are doing so for their own legitimate reasons.
Bottom line is that it makes sense to have both and I do not see anythign wrong with NL fuguring out the render engine and studio first and then shifting priority to the plug-ins. I just wish that they were a bit more communicative about the progress and they would find a better way to figure out what the plug-in should have. It seems to me from the forums that the C4D plug is not the only one with problems, most people are not that happy with theirs.
Cheers,
D
