Hello
I have a cube and I want a "skin" of glass to do a box, not a cube full of glass, is there a way to do that?

Yes, model it.

...or use AGS - depends on your scene.

you have to model the thickness of the walls (eg. 1mm) if you use glass not AGS.

Not really, there's no rendering engine that would do it any differently, unless simulating walls like ThinSSS.
It's good practice to use realistic wall thicknesses anyway.
