Hi all,

Is there a difference in the look of an image between the following set up:

10 render nodes rendering for 1 hr (then merged)
5 render nodes rendering for 2 hrs (then merged)
1 render node rendering for 10 hrs

I'm wondering whether the noise level would be the same for all 3 set ups, but the caustics effects my be more visible in the 1 render node set for 10 hrs?

The deeper caustics seem to appear in the higher shading levels. Is this possible to achieve in merging many lower SL mxi's or does one need to render more individual files to a hight SL?
