I wonder if next release will be a 2.7.xx or if you are planing a V 3?

Hi Ernesto

The development team are busy working on the next major version which will be V3. We cannot confirm a release date as yet -this is not a strategic decision by marketing, we simply cannot decide on a definitive release schedule until the testing is well under way, and we are sure that there are no major issues to resolve. We would not like to give our customers any false expectations.

In the meantime, it is unlikely that there will be any further releases for 2.7.xx, but as always, if any major new bugs are discovered then we may release a fix for this.

I hope this answers your query.

All the best

Hy Jenny,

does this mean that there will be no 3dconnexion support in studio for v2.x?

Sounds great! Will there be the same step by step feature announcements as for V2? :D

Thanks Jenny
Yes, this answer the question, partially. Could you tell me if this:

qualifies for a fix for Maxwell 2.x users?
I worked with Maxwell V1.7 and have never experienced this problem, that am having after upgraded to V2.7

Thanks in advance

Ernesto

Can't wait to see what features 3 will have! I started on 2.5 so I have not really seen any major upgrades yet apart from grass  (no offence)

Ernesto, we strictly reject classifying how it works now as a bug. It is simply how it works in v2.x engine. So, the answer is clearly "no". Regarding your comparison among versions, we made no such promise about changing the way it works. Also, having 2.x license doesn't mean you are not allowed to render with 1.x anymore. So, you have a lot of options already.

Ok, do not classify it as a bug if it looks better. Anyway I am not expecting you to promise not to change the way it works, I was just asking for a fix, in case it is possible, independently of names, promises or legal stuff.
