For anyone coming here expecting the answer: It's File > Import Multilight Settings.

We all have our foggy days.

Actually this would make a great Maxwell Render HOT TIP, I might be recording some later. ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZXglGm65FE )

I have been working with several Saved Multilights settings (4)
Each file represents a different lighting situation.
I would like to compile those 4 settings into a single animation.
Can I use those saved files to do that, or I would have to create a compiled file, setting manually each of the 4 lighting situations?

So the way I understand it is the the "apply changes to scene" is used so you can get your lights the way you want them in a test render. Then you can apply the changes back to the scene and then turn off multi-light for you final render therefore saving some time and resources, Correct?

I tried this by getting all my sliders the way I want them, applied changes back to scene. I wanted to test it to make sure it worked. So I reopened the mxs file and rendered it again. The only slider that showed my applied changes was the IBL slider. All the other sliders were still in their default position...

I am I missing something?

Thanks

Aaron

EDIT: A hot tip would be great...Thanks in advance.

It seems that the "apply changes to scene" is not in the manual.
I have looked in the on line manual.

Is there a limitation to how this works? I have a file with 9 sliders plus sun sky and IBL. I changed all the sliders then applied the changes in the options pull down menu. When I reopened the mxs file, and resent the rendering to check to see if my changes were applied, it only showed the IBL slider in the changed position. None of the other sliders were changed. They were all in their original positions. I would like to please get some clarification on how this is supposed to work. It is my understanding that this is to save time and memory by applying the set up in mult-light back to the mxs file so you can render without multi-light after making the adjustments and applying them back to the scene. But I can not get it to work right.

If you are rendering from Studio, I would check whether the problem might be that while the file being edited in Studio is filename.mxs, the one launched and rendered in Maxwell will be filename_tmp.mxs. In that case, I don't see how the IBL intensity could possibly have been transferred, but regardless, the feature appears to be working fine in my testing here.
