Problem: black dots in images (meaning not rendergrain)

Hello,
I rendered the image attached to samplinglevel 22 and still have black dots in the image ...
How can I fix that?

Image

Hope somebody can help me!

Sorry, this is not a plugin question, and I can't answer it (my guess would be that it would have to do with overly white materials, which violate conservation of energy), so I am going to move it over to the main Maxwell Render section.

Does your white material have any SSS (coefficient > 0)?

I have seen this in the past happen on non-watertight meshes with SSS material applied.

true! but .. i haven't seen these evil black flies in a loooong time.

are you using hdr lighting?
if so>
does it also happen with skydome only?
does changing the hdr map help?
if no>
try to render with default material override, if it is still showing, there is probably something wrong with your geometry.

@bubbaloo
"Does your white material have any SSS (coefficient > 0)?"
All white materials are on 236 and sss coefficient is exact 0.

@polynurb
"are you using hdr lighting?"
No,not using hdr lighting. using physical sky with a plane+rendertag (c4D) behind windows.

Judging by dispersion on the ceiling, my quick guess would be - it has something to do with window frame material.
Try disabling/hiding it's geometry, removing it's material and do a quick render test...

Hi,

we do not use any glass metriels in for the windows ...

Or do you mean the frame material?

We deleted the complete materials like proposed some posts before. But having the exact same result.

If you want to pack n go the scene and send it to me, I can look at it. Without looking into it, we're just guessing.

Yes, I mean the frame - basically try hiding ALL of geometry (window, frame, casting, still, board, GRID, etc.) you still got there, simply leaving nothing but hole in the wall and try again.

I had similar problems very long time ago.
I found it was caused from somehow corrupted geometry.
I used to isloate parts of the scene until I've found the object causing it and replaced it.

In addition to the geometry suggestion:

Are you rendering with Color MultiLight?

If so, try rendering with regular Intensity MultiLight or even disabling MultiLight, just to check.

The customor do not allowed it ...

@m-Que
I deleated all polystuff and voila no black spots.
I exportet all my polyStuff into fbx format and imported it.

Then I got this errormessage when exporting the scene to render it.
"SDK call write MXS failed maxwellredner"

When I delete my imported fbx objects rendering starts succesfully. Whats ment with this error call?
(I use Cinema4D)

If you use Cinema4D, try importing as .3ds instead

I also find that C4D generally enjoys OBJs
