Problems with merged mxs in Studio

Hi,

i have a big problem with a scene file merged in Studio.
I have the house geometry imported from sketchup and the furniture imported from 3dsmax.
The first image shows how the couch and the chairs look directly rendered from max. The second image shows the merged
file from studio (exported from the sketchup plugin to studio and imported the 3dsmax .mxs).
Shading issues on the couch and moved parts of the chairs in the background!
Recalculating normals in studio doesn't make a difference...

I really need a quick solution, because i have to finish the job for tomorrow...

It looks like the couch & table have both been scaled quite a bit along one axis. I don't think that should be a problem, but does the effect only appear after doing so (if that's what's been done)?

sorry, i should have mentioned this... the second image is a region render of the final image and a bit distorted
by the wide-angle. The scale is the same.

What happens if you reference the MXS in Studio, rather than importing it.

THANK YOU very much JD!!! It works! :D
Now this was really a quick solution. I havn't tried references in Studio before. They work really great - hopefully for network rendering too...

Thanks! :)

edit: no problems on the network with references. Really a great improvement for the workflow btw. But i would like to know what's going on with the deformed objects too...
