Has anybody tried to do a square hay or hay bale with the new grass modifier.

Can't seem to get it right... Anybody can point me in the right direction will be much appreciated.

You can't link an image from your desktop, upload it somewhere. Did you take a look at the Grass tutorials page in the online docs?
