In the Sketchup plugin you can very easily set a point that the camera focuses on. In Studio I can' see the same or similar function. Am I missing something?

Right-click and select Focus to... this is the only way I think.

You can also tap 'f' on the keyboard to focus on what is seen in the centre dot of the camera.

So you can't click on an object and set that to the focus point, as you can in the Fire plugin for Sketchup?

Or even a part of the object and it will focus there. To be clear, you do this from the viewport window not the fire window.

just yesterday I found a way to do that:use z-clip to visually find the exact distance of the point you want to focus on, then insert the value in the imput field.

Nice trick.... but I think the question was how to focus on a selected object.

Is z-clip a Sketchup Fire term?

- Look through a camera
- choose Focus to in the right click menu
- at the top left you'll see a text saying "Select focus point"
- click somewhere on an object
- that's all
