Saving Phys Sky as HDRI

I'd been successful with this in the past but now all I get are white HDRI's.
1. Set up physical sky,
2. Ensure camera EV = 15,
3. Save as HDRI.
All I get from this is white HDRI under ALL conditions.
Help!

If I remember correctly you have to set the EV to certain value to get properly exposed output... but it's been a long time, let me search the forums and I'll get back in a second.
edit -- yeah dude, it was you who reported that JD told you it had to be set to a EV of 15

Thanks Jason - problem EV 15 just gives white.

BTW I get the same results opening Studio raw - creating a camera at default settings for all, setting to EV15 and exporting sky - white!
I'm still a tad lost why any camera exposure should make a difference? Moreso that all camera settings, excluding position are not over written by the sky export.

I haven't tried in a long time -- and I'm nowhere near Maxwell right now so I can't try it out... did you try EXR?
Best,
Jason.

Replacing Physical Sky with IBL (w/ exported EXR) should be matching in output.

What happens to the white if you lower the exposure in Photoshop using the Exposure Adjustment Layer?

I'll run a test Tom, they just exporting and pulling back in as IBL even the viewport displays differently.

There is certainly information there!
