[SOLVED] Resume render with referenced materials

When resuming a render with referenced materials to obtain a higher SL - and some materials have been tweaked in the meantime - do these tweaks affect the result? Are the MXM parameters embedded in the MXI (hence its size)? Could not find an answer to that in the knowledgebase... Thanks!

They will be read from the MXS file. So yes, if they are referenced, and they have been changed, they will be changed in the updated render.

Cheers, now I know why there are some slight ghosting effects in resumed renders...

In effect, that effect I got was not effectual for what I aimed for - cocked up all renders by messing about with them materials :o

Yep .... it is great fun to name different textures with the same name on local paths in different rendernodes ...

Agree. And - even more fun can be had working with triangle groups ;) If only the manual would state what "recalculate" does on triangle groups. And - how to select the ones one wants to select. But, well, one can't have it all...
