Hello,
Here is a screen grab of a .jpg file opened in Preview on OSX, and the same .jpg file opened in MXM. Big difference. How can I get the .jpg to look like the OSX version? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Gary

What's the color space of your texture? Is it sRGB or something else?

Hello Tom,
Opened the .jpg and no profile was assigned. Assigned sRGB to file, saved and then opened in MXED. Color match is closer but still not accurate (see attached). Is MXED opening everything in a sRGB space? I am using a NEC wide gamut monitor with its own profile. Should I switch it over to sRGB as well?
Thanks for the help.

Currently Maxwell supports sRGB as the only input color space. I'm not sure why your OSX preview still comes different than Maxwell. Do you see differences in Photoshop as well?

what about rendered images? I notice that the colors are pretty different between render and photoshop. Is that just a color space mismatch?

OSX Preview and Photoshop do match— it is only MXED that does not match.
Is there anyone else on a mac that can run a quick test to see if they get similar results.
Thanks,
Gary

Hello Gary,
We've been testing with very different images, and we do get match between the image viewer, Photoshop and the MXED display.
Maybe it is something related to that particular image, and the way it was encoded.
Does it happens to every single image? Or just with some specific ones?
Could you try with another jpg image (like a regular one you can find on the internet)?
Keep us informed.
