Thanks for the latest update, i'm playing around with it now and testing the new updated SSS and other stuff.
The addition that made me smile when i saw it in the list is the aritmethic operations in numerical fields. :) Modo have this and it's really helpful for quick value adjustments and now when Maxwell got the same it means a lot for the workflow.

I'm not sure on that count -- they posted a announcement here yesterday and I also received an email announcement shortly after.

Best,
Jason.

I'm not here every day - and I doubt most of the customers of NL are... but never received an email - same issue that happens with emails from NL every now and then, over and over since years. sometimes they arrive, sometimes they don't.

+1.

At the release of 2.6 there was a small discussion of why the post to facebook was made before an e-mail was sent out, but this time I received an e-mail way before I found out any other way. I'd ask NL customer services to check if they have the right e-mail address for you.

Hi,

Sorry for the inconveniences. When a new version is ready we change the main website, send mails, add a new entry in the news section, post it in the forum and in social networks, and enable the autoupdates mechanism. We do it all at the same time, the process takes minutes. If you don't get the mail is because your mail info in our database is not correct (in that case you can send us your data again) or because it has been filtered by a span filter and the mail is just in your junk folder. Of course we know that many of you are not active forum users nor like to know about Maxwell thought Facebook, we are not prioritizing those channels over mails but we use them all, the only problem is that in some cases mails are not fully reliable.

Thanks,

Juan

Hi everyone,

I'm in the process of finishing a movie with Maxwell render and I got all those MXI rendered until SL 6 or 8 and about to push them further with the progressive animation script while compositing. This new feature in 2.6.1 of checking the SL target before preprocessing would greatly improve the process I think so here is the question :

Could I finish rendering some MXI generated by 2.6.0 with 2.6.1 without bugs or crash ?
Does any of you have had any problem regarding this ?

Thanks a lot and I can't wait playing around with the new baby.

Cheers,

Im in the mid of doing projects that have SSS, at first i was thinking that the upgrade will affect some color that might mess up the current project. But after trying it up (With 2.6 standby so to fall back), it works well and SSS rendered up cleaner and faster. : ) All colors are pretty well maintain correctly and close.
