Maxwell's use in universities and schools

Hi guys, my Product Design course's "pre-review" at university is fast approaching. This is an opportunity to argue the case for changes within the course syllabus, new equipment, etc. Obviously I'll be arguing the case for more licenses of Maxwell, and for it to be actively taught on the course. At the moment there is no such training at all with any render software, and realistic CAD rendering is an area which we know to be lacking skill in the UK at the moment.

In order to argue the case successfully I need previous or existing examples of what I am proposing in action, so my question to the forum is this:

Do you know any school or university, preferably in the UK, that uses, and teaches to its students, Maxwell Render?

A few searches have turned up nothing.

Thanks

James

Hi James

Thank you for your interest on learning Maxwell Render.

The United Kingdon educational institutions that own many Maxwell Render licenses are:

Leeds Metropolitan University
London Metropolitan University
University of Creative Art
Cranfield University

Please contact them and find out if they offer any specific Maxwell Render course or if Maxwell Render is taught in a general course.

I hope you can find a course. If you want to learn more about our product we also offer online tutorials on our Support Website at this link: http://support.nextlimit.com/display/tuts/Home/

Regards

Alessandra

Thanks for your help Alessandra, that will certainly be useful in convincing my university to invest in more licenses.

Out of interest, why isn't the University of Brighton mentioned? We have 6 educational licenses of Maxwell Render (purchased through a reseller).

Thanks again

James

Hi James
Just to add a quick note that Alessandra will be contacting you shortly via email to give you more details of our new certification programme for CG schools and Universities. We understand there is a lack of info right now with regards to schools/Unis that are running Maxwell render courses, but as part of the new programme we will be adding a list of certified schools to our webpage. We look forward to having you on board!
