Scaling

So it's been awhile since I've worked in Maxwell and I just re downloaded it again. I think I'm having scaling issues and need some help.

I'm rendering jewelry so I deal in MM. When I import my ring it's HUGE how do I know if that is the proper scaling or if it needs to be adjusted one way or the other??? I'm kinda lost here since either I'm either missing something or not understanding why maxwell would not have incorporated some way for us to know if we are working to scale or not?

Thanks

See this page on how to check the scene scale in Studio:

http://support.nextlimit.com/display/ma ... cene+scale

You can then use Edit>Scale scene to change the scale of the whole scene.

Thank you Mihai, I think that answered my question! It seems I have to scale down to .001 in order to get my ring to scale

So how am I suppose to get my lighting to scale if I'm creating it inside maxwell? Can I just ball park the size of the emmiter planes and that will be ok?

Thanks so much for your assistance

If you are using the primitives (library) they all come in at a size that will fit into a 1m x 1m x 1m cube... therefor all the plane primitives are 1m x 1m.

From that point scaling should be simple to calculate.

Best,
Jason.
