speckles in render

Hi there,

I am working on a project. I am getting some strange grain and speckles. This image was rendered to 17 SL. I am thinking it must be in the materials but not sure. I used ags glass but with a slight tint to it. I have no glass in the wall where the direct sunlight is coming in. There are some speckles on the floor to the right of the island as well.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Aaron

Do you still get them if you turn off indirect reflected caustics? I think that's the cause.

I will check. Sorry for the double post. Not sure how that happened.

That seems to be working better with that option off. Is that option typically to be switched off when doing interior renderings?

Thanks,

Aaron

It's not a rule, but depends on the difficulty of the lighting situation, and the materials. Here I think you are using some very reflective metals, and the sunlight shines on them producing caustics, then indirect light shines on them too, making indirect caustics which will take longer to clear.
