MXS references: not rendering as shown in viewport

Working in Studio....

See the screen shot below for reference, but the MXS reference objects I am positioning are not rendering anywhere close to where they are in viewport. I thought you could move the around/scale them once placed, but maybe not?

Also: instancing MXS reference objects is problematic because you can only see them as bounding boxes which makes them impossible to place with any kind of precision (unless you are referencing boxes of course). Can you add a point cloud display mode to instances, so that referenced MXS files can show properly?

For now I'm just cloning it, but it's an 9-10 million poly object so instancing it would save a lot of RAM come render time - no?

Does the reference itself have an offset, or is it at 0,0,0?

It has an offset, and some scaling. It was positioned relative to the same camera for my primary instance of the object, and now I want to add some versions in different positions.

Do you have to zero it out for position and scale? I didn't notice that in the documentation.

No, normally you shouldn't have to......perhaps it's because it also has a scaling. If you set the scaling at 1 but leave the transform does it work ok?

Resetting the object to 0/0/0 fixed the problem, as did leaving it where it was and resetting the scale to 1

So you can do one, or the other, but not both. A minor bug, but it was driving me crazy for a while there. Thanks
