Network batch renders not working in 2.6

Hey

For some odd reason, I can't do batch renders through the network system since I upgraded to 2.6. I had about 50 stills that needed to run over the weekend, and I ended up having to add the jobs individually in the monitor.

It's only when I add jobs using the batch option. The monitor accepts the jobs, sends all dependencies, and then stops. It doesn't freeze, hang or crash. It just stops. The jobs list displays the top jobs as "rendering", although nothing happens.

If I add every jobs as a single job, it works perfectly. It starts rendering immediatly (??)


Any idea what might cause this? It's clearly not a network/license issue... If anything, I think it's just me having overlooked something new/changed in the batch job window. I just can't seem to figure out what...

Hi Eilsoe,

There might be a problem with batch rendering, we are looking into it. If finally it is a bug we will update a patch as soon as possible.

i have had a similar issue with Batch rendering, mine stops progressing when the last of the images are loaded "image 4/4 sent/recieved"

Another minor bug. When I set dependencies for my OSX node, the render node said that it don't find the images for texturing and hdri for environment but in fact it find it :)
