Textures not visible in vieport

Hi Maxwell users.
I can't seem to find the right setting to view textures in my vieport. I assume i've set the correct settings in the object parameters window, vieport window an prefences window. All settings to Textured decal or better. Still i can't see any textures, just shading. I hope someone can point me in the right direction.
Cheers.

In the material editor, just below the material's preview image, you should find a drop-down button which has the orange/black 'texture' bitmap as its icon. Dropping that down, you should find a list of all the textures in the current material -- the texture chosen here is the one which will be shown in the viewport.

Thank you for the quick reply. I've already tried that also though.

Does the object have proper UVs applied to it? Select it, go to the Object parameters panel and in the UVs section see if it has any UV sets. If there is one and it's set to Locked, it means it has a UV set but maybe it's not an appropriate one. You can create a new UV set, set it to Cubic for example. Set it to channel ) if you've set your textures on your material to use channel 0) in the texture picker.

Thanks for the reply. Yes the object has a proper UV. I can also change the way the texture is mapped but it doesn't show in the vieport only on a render. Cheers.

Does this happen on any scene you have? If you import a cube from the object library, File>Library and assign your material to it?

Yep, i first tested it on my own scenes imported from solidworks. And then i tested it with an 'clean' scene with a cube from the library.

You can specify on each object in Studio the maximum shading mode to use -- this is found under Object Parameters>Appearance>Shading Mode. If this is set to a lower level than "texture decal" you will only get shading at the level you have set as the maximum.
Likewise if you are looking at instances then the shading will be limited to whatever the settings are under File>Preferences>Instances.
And lastly if none of that works check your video card drivers to make sure all is OK there.
Best,
Jason.

Thank you Jason,
I think it's a driver issue. I've checked all the possible settings ( also the one's you pointed out ). It's weird because my system doesn't give a driver error and all other 3D applications seem to work fine. Thanks for the help anyway. Cheers.

Is everything red? When I work remotely, I can't view textures in the scene. If its showing up as everything being red, I'm guessing it's just a graphics/card issue
