Help - Conical texture mapping

Hello to everyone,
Thanks to all of you for this forum, reading your posts, I've been learning a lot.
Today I have a mapping issue ruining my render :)

We are working with Solidworks & Maxwell, so far everything was nice since we were applying textures using Maxwell with objects fiting perfectly with planar, cylindrical or even spherical mapping.

Now I need to map a texture on a conical shape, texture itself comes in 2D in a conical manner as in real life, so that this texture can be folded onto the conical shape...
I've tried to search for relative posts but couldn't find any. Below img showing 3D shape & 2D conical texture.

a/ Is there a way to make it with Solidworks & Maxwell ? ( I'm working in Studio mainly )
b/ Is there a software that could map/project the conical 2d texture into rectangular texture so that I could use cylindrical mapping ?
c/ Do we have to start thinking in Maya + unwrapping software and so on ?

Thanks for reading up to here.

You will have to set the UV's outside Maxwell Studio, the UV functionality of Studio cannot handle that type of mapping.

Best,
Jason.

Bought your training dvd, its amazing stuff at a super price. highly recommendable

Regarding conical uv mapping would you have any recommendations of software to handle that ?
thks

Thanks for the compliment! :D

I've heard alot of good things about this package -- it's not too expensive and can produce conical mapping: http://www.unwrap3d.com

Best,
Jason.
