Hello everybody
I try to render out the shadows in my scene speratly, but what I get is a plain white image... there are no shadows at all :(
Any idea what the problem is?
In the final image, there are clearly visible shadows... but in the seperate shadow pass, there is nothing.. just a perfect white image :(
Thanks a lot
Oliver

Yep, like zdeno said, make sure you've got the Shadow box checked in the material editor for the material you want to catch the shadow.

I just don't get why this is turned on by default ...
You could so easily just use it for one material if you only need one by making an alpha mask in photoshop with the material id layer.
I can't count how often I had to restart a render just because I forgot to include some materials
