Film offset and image clipping in stereo pairs

Hi,

I'm working on rendering stereo pairs and so far was able to figure out the math and accomplish viewable images.

In the proccess of building the pair we have to render the images wider by a calculated amount and then clip the images by that amount as you can see here:

My question is: Can the use of film offset produce the tilted fulcrum as mentioned on those papers and thus avoid the post porcessing of the images?

I figured it out, just using the % delta calculated as the formulas on the paper mentione above will do the trick. Positive offset for the left eye, negative for the right.

If someone can get hold of a Fuji 3d camera (or their picture frame) this is the result:
