general light

Dera all
please advise what is the best way to put general light on a model .
i design exhibition stands and want to use general light to illuminate my model this light will be additional to the other lights .

If you are looking for ambient light not much is better than skydome.

You've basically got 3 options, sun, skydome, and HDRI. Sun would be silly. Skydome will give you a nice even light. HDRI has the ability to give you a more realistic look if that's your schtick.

yes i try the sky dome but
i dont want the bacground to be change.
in other word i want the background stay white , and just control the amount of illumination without changing the color of the bacground .

Go to your Environment parameters. Set your skydome how you want it and then switch to IBL. Check "Disabled" for Illumination and change the "Use for Disabled" dropdown from the default Physical Sky to Skydome. Then place an pure white .hdr map in you Background slot.

...and don`t forget the reflection slot! very important!
...and the refraction slot is only useful when transparent materials are used...

I try it
But when i change the amount (with the slide) of the sky dome the background change from withe to gray and i want it to be white all the time

Hi,
Try to render with alpha channel and then composite it in photoshop with a white background.
