and eventually kill maxwell.exe if it did not shut down together with mxnetwork.exe. otherwise you will get an connection error when you restart node.

i try it, but it can't work on every case. :(

and if I have a 100 nos. computer. Can I need to re-open on each computer of disconnection? :?:

lucky unlucky you... i just have 6.. it doesn't happen often to me.. and i do it by hand/remotdesk.

but i guess there are ways to send commands to several machines at once...

I've had the same issue for some time now, since 1.7. Hopefully someday, the Monitor's 'restart node' will serve this purpose (I'm not quite sure what it does now, but it's not that). I only have 1 node machine but it's 5 floors down in a server room and I.T. won't let me remote into it so I have to get them to restart it on a regular basis. If anyone figures out a remote way to do this without remotely accessing each computer, I'd love to hear it as well.

yes, this is the question... and it's the same for v2.5

You could just write an application that restarts the node when it reaches below 1 % cpu usage for over a period of time (like perhaps 1-5 minutes).
Or remotely with a batch file running PsExec from PsTools, if the admins agrees to it.

i found the problem is on the maxwell network monitor, when I disconnect a render node (the computer name is AA machine), and than re-connect.

The network monitor show the AA machine is disconnect, but the AA machine is running to go on.

Interesting idea. Any thoughts on how to go about that? Maybe I'll see if either of the IT guys could put something like that together. I'm not sure how much they know about writing apps but in theory that sounds pretty basic.
