Hi all, two quick questions. One in this thread http://www.maxwellrender.com/forum/view ... y&start=60 Blitzor talks about mapping an hdri to his panels?? How is that done?? I didn't know you could map an hdri to an object to create a "light source". Am I understanding this correctly??

Question two: I've not YET learned to create my own materials does anyone have a complex ior file for a yellow diamond they might be willing to share??

You would create a material with an emitter in the form of an HDR/MXI/EXR file... which would then be applied to your geometry like any other material.

I've not seen any yellow diamond IORs -- but perhaps somebody who deals with jewelry will point you in the right direction.
