ideas for lighting a small store with overhead lights

I have a small store that I want to render out. It has a large front glass and ceiling lights that are flourescent and about 20 of them on a grid. I put an emitter for all of the lights and turned on Physical sky. It looks OK just that there is a bunch of noise in the shadows after Sample Level 20. Was wondering if anyone has a strategy for lighting a room like this.

Is it an interior or exterior render?

That looks like a problem with the material not the lighting -- particularly the wood material.
On closer inspection it may also be the white objects are set above 225... can you share the materials settings?
Best,
Jason.

If you're using real glass for that window, that could cause issues as well. Even if you're using AGS I'd just remove the glass altogether since you don't see it in that view (you could leave the mullions for shadows.

Good ideas! I will have to work on this later though. Thanks for the input.

Well I have done some more tests and found that the light wood map is just causing a lot of noise. I switched to a slightly darker wood an got better results but still some noise. Hmmmm. Was wondering what people do for lighter woods and maps? Here is a page with closeups of the rendering and closeups of the map.

That's some pretty bright and saturated wood -- saturated yellow and oranges will cause issues, particularly if used with an additive layer (for shine)... and the red channel is very highly valued in particular, nearly 255 in some places.
For your reflectance 0 map drop the
Brightness to -10 &
Saturation to -10.
You can leave reflectance 90 as it is now... in your additive "gloss" layer be sure to use black for both reflectance colors and set it to force fresnel with a Nd of 1.491.
Here's a material example with some custom values:
