Material Opacity Mask Help!

I'm trying to model a tube amp as seen here:

The problem i'm having is with the tops of the tubes where there should be a reflective (chrome) material that has been painted onto the inside of the glass. I've created a mask to give the material an uneven edge, but I keep getting a perfectly straight edge. What am I doing wrong?

Here's a shot from within Studio.

Let me know if I need to provide any more info or the studio file.

Thanks in advance!

Studio file would be helpful.

Jason.

In the future you'll want to do a "pack and go" and zip all the output files to share.

On second look it is working the way it is supposed to -- the chrome is there, but bear in mind I don't think this will work the way you want as cylindrical UV's don't have a top or bottom in Studio (if I remember correctly)... what you will have to do is break the tops off the tubes and use something like cubic for them and then use the cylindrical for the sides of the tubes.

Best,
Jason.

You should use planar projection ;)
