motion blur around curve

Hi all,

I'm trying to create the typical motion streaks you see from car headlights when the shutter is left open but I'm only getting straight lines renders when the objects go around curves.

Cheers,

Steve

It all depends from a motion curve you create - just like in real life.
Would be really helpful if you could post what you get and what you're after examples
Also, what software do you use?

I think for now, Maxwell is limited to a 2-frame sample for motion blur, which will always be shown as a straight line. :(

cheers for the info.

We're using maya and we have a sphere keyframed along a curve.
We've tried short and long animation times and leaving the camera shutter open but the render always comes out straight.

So, is this a known limitation, when will this be fixed?
